New Album For Rock ‘n’ Roll Legend Chuck Berry
After reaching the grand age of 90 yesterday, Chuck Berry celebrated his birthday with the announcement of a new album.
With the legend of rock ‘n’ roll commenting, “I’m growing old! I’ve worked on this record for a long time. Now I can hang up my shoes!”
The album, simply titled ‘Chuck’, will greatly consist of original songs, all of which are written, recorded and produced by Chuck Berry himself.
With the new album being dedicated to his wife Toddy (the couple have been married for 68 years) as well as featuring collaborations with Berry’s two children – Charles Berry Jr on guitar and Ingrid Berry on the harmonica.
The new record ‘Chuck’ will be released by record label by Dualtone next year, with the record label’s president, Paul Roper, clearly excited by this news:
“It is a great honour to be a part of this record and the broader legacy of Chuck Berry. This body of work stands with the best of his career and will further cement Chuck as one of the greatest icons of rock and roll.”
