The Philistines Set To Release Debut Album

Head to Kansas City and you will discover a six-piece band by the name of The Philistines who just happen to have a new album scheduled for release next month.

The album, ‘The Backbone of Night’, will be the band’s first full-length LP, and is set for release 27th May 2016 via The Record Machine.

The Philistines is currently in the midst of promoting the single ‘A Twitch of the Death Nerve’ lifted from the forthcoming album, which can be heard right here at Famous Last Words (FLW).

With The Philistines having formed in 2013, their reputation for incendiary live shows has developed a bit of a following in Kansas City as the band have demonstrated their ability to create powerful sonic rhythmic grooves which has led to various supports slots with other prominent acts, in addition to performing at prestigious music festivals (i.e. including Middle of the Map Fest, Crossroads Music Fest, and Alejandro Escovedo’s SXSW Day Party).
