Val Hollie With Debut EP
In preparation for a full-length album, New Orleans’ Val Hollie (real name Peter Campanelli) is ready to release his debut EP of the same name.
By teaming up with Ross Farbe (Video Age), who was responsible for engineering the forthcoming EP, the two of them got to work building a recording studio in a property in the Pigeon Town region of New Orleans. The results of these combined efforts were a number of songs mixing elements of psychedelic rock and roll with a definite lo-fi edge and the finer points of post-punk. Once the decision was made that the songs taken from these recording sessions were good enough to make the grade, Val Hollie expanded the line up to a five piece so that the songs could transmit to a live setting.
Val Hollie EP is out 13th November via the band on digital format and Hellhole Supermarket on cassettes.
There will also be a release show on the same date to promote the debut EP at Saturn Barn, New Orleans, with support coming from Bottomfeeders & Trance Farmers.
